Core Rules

  • Each admiral commands 5 ships on a hidden 10×10 grid.
  • Ships are placed horizontally or vertically, never diagonally.
  • Ships can touch but cannot overlap or leave the grid.
  • Sink a ship by hitting every square it occupies.
  • Win by sinking the entire enemy fleet.

Game Modes

  • Classic: one shot per turn, turns alternate.
  • Salvo: shots equal your surviving ships each turn.
  • Continuous Fire: keep firing until you miss.

Adaptive AI

  • Axis of Evil adapts over time as you win.
  • After 3 straight wins, the AI difficulty rises by one tier.
  • Your name and win streak are remembered on this device.

Strategy Tips

  • In hunt mode, stagger shots to cover the grid efficiently.
  • When you score a hit, test adjacent squares to confirm direction.
  • Protect against streaks by spreading your fleet across quadrants.
  • In Salvo, prioritize finishing damaged ships to reduce return fire.

How to Play AXIS

Deploy your fleet on the 10×10 ocean grid. Each turn, select coordinates on the target grid to strike enemy ships. Sink all five enemy ships to win.
