Bachelorette Season 22 Cancelled After Abuse Video Resurfaces; Spoilers Still Emerge

ABC cancelled season 22 of *The Bachelorette* after a video resurfaced of Taylor Frankie Paul's 2023 domestic violence incident. Despite the cancellation, spoilers have leaked regarding the season's outcome.

Season 22 of *The Bachelorette* was cancelled by ABC after a video of an altercation between Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, resurfaced. The video, released by TMZ three days before the scheduled March 22, 2026 premiere, depicted Paul throwing metal chairs at Mortensen in 2023. One of the chairs struck Paul's five-year-old daughter. Paul, a 31-year-old influencer and mother of three, was announced in September 2025 as the first lead of *The Bachelorette* from outside of the *Bachelor* franchise. In 2023, Paul was arrested on multiple charges, including aggravated assault and domestic violence. She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in August 2023 and received 36 months probation; other charges were dismissed. Another domestic violence incident involving Paul and Mortensen occurred in February 2026.
