March Madness Brackets Busted: Few Perfects Remain After Day Two

The odds of a perfect NCAA Tournament bracket are one in 120 billion, and the vast majority of entrants' hopes were dashed early. ESPN reported that less than 5,000 unblemished brackets remained when the second day of the tournament began.

The dreams of a flawless 63-0 NCAA Tournament bracket have ended for most entrants. According to ESPN, fewer than 5,000 perfect brackets were still alive when the second day of the tournament commenced. Prediction market Kalshi stated that 83 perfect brackets remained in its $1 billion bracket contest as Day 2 began. Two-thirds of those who entered ESPN's women's bracket challenge had also seen their hopes of perfection disappear early. The odds of predicting every game correctly from the start are one in 120 billion.
