SJHL Playoffs Set to Begin Across Saskatchewan on Friday Night

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoffs are scheduled to start Friday night in rinks across the province. Eight teams will compete for the Canterra Seeds Cup and a chance to play in the Centennial Cup in Summerside, PEI.

The SJHL playoffs are scheduled to begin Friday night, with eight teams competing for the league championship. According to SJHL commissioner Kyle McIntyre, only the first and sixth seeds were determined before last weekend. McIntyre said that the remaining playoff match-ups were not determined until the end of the regular season. The Flin Flon Bombers earned the top seed with a 41-11-3-1 record, led by goaltender Charlie Tritt. The Bombers will have home ice advantage throughout the playoffs, beginning with their series against the Estevan Bruins. McIntyre said that the parity makes the league exciting for fans.
