South Okanagan U18 Hockey Team Wins District Championship with Undefeated Season

The South Okanagan Minor Hockey Association's U18 Rec team emerged victorious at the District Championships in Salmon Arm last weekend. The team finished the season undefeated, with 19 wins and one tie, after a 1-0 victory against Kelowna Minor Hockey Association on March 15 at Rogers Rink.

The South Okanagan Minor Hockey Association (SOMA) U18 Rec team has concluded an undefeated season by winning the District Championships. The team played their final game on March 15 at Rogers Rink in Salmon Arm, defeating the Kelowna Minor Hockey Association. SOMA congratulated the U18 team on social media, acknowledging their championship win and undefeated season. The team played 20 games total. This year saw a reshuffling of the team as part of the Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association's Expanded Regional Borders pilot program. The program combined Penticton and the former South Okanagan regions.
