Ukrainian Man Fatally Stabbed in Cork, Ireland; Wife Issues Tribute

A Ukrainian man, Mr. Zhyvytskyi, was fatally stabbed near his home on Carroll's Quay in Cork, Ireland. His wife, Viktoriya, shared a tribute, mourning the loss of a loving husband and father.

Mr. Zhyvytskyi was attacked steps from his residence on Camden Court on Carroll's Quay, near Lower John St and Knapp's Square. He had left his apartment to purchase food on Shandon Street and was stabbed on his short walk home. After returning to his apartment, his wife alerted paramedics, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Zhyvytskyi is survived by his wife and their young daughter. In a public statement, Viktoriya expressed that her husband's memory would live on in their hearts. She described him as her soulmate, strength, and safe place, and a devoted father. Mr. Zhyvytskyi will repose at Coughlan's Funeral Home on Shandon Street on March 23.
