Vernon, BC, residents Julie Jones and Margaret Penner both recently passed away, leaving behind family and friends. Jones died after a life filled with gardening, camping, and travel, while Penner passed peacefully after a long career at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
Julie Jones, a resident of Vernon, BC, passed away; she was originally from Terrace, BC, and later lived in Usk and Smithers. In 1997, she married Larry Jones and settled in Vernon, where they enjoyed travelling, camping, and spending time with loved ones. Jones's passions included gardening, cooking, and exploring nature. She is predeceased by her parents, Ken and Ona Hubner, and her siblings Roy and Jean; she is survived by her husband, Larry Jones, her children Marnie (Raymond) and Angela (Kevin), her siblings Karen Foster and Collin Hubner, and her five grandchildren. Margaret Penner (nee Taylor) passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at Pleasant Valley Manor in Armstrong, BC.
