The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has announced its first list of 17 candidates, including Dulu Ahmed, for the upcoming Assam assembly elections. The National People's Party (NPP) has nominated three candidates, including Aminul Islam, in the election for the 126-member assembly.
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Assam assembly elections. Dulu Ahmed, the state's senior vice-president, is among the 17 candidates and will be contesting from Chamaria. The National People's Party (NPP) has also announced its candidates, including Aminul Islam, a former AIUDF MLA who recently switched parties and will be contesting from Mankachar. The NPP has also nominated Daniel Langthasa from Haflong and Ganseng B Sangma from Boko-Chaygaon. Other TMC nominees include Udangsri Narzary from Kokrajhar, Mominur Islam from Bilasipara, and Kaushik Ranjan Das from Abhayapuri. Kalyani Kalita will represent Bajali, Rajan Chouhan will represent Goreswar, Hare Krishna Deka will represent Mangaldai, and Faziur Rahman Laskar will represent Katigorah.
