Bessette-Kennedy's College Classmate Reacts to 'Love Story' Portrayal: 'Nobody Like Her'
Jenny Syquia, a Boston University classmate of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, said that Sarah Pidgeon's portrayal in "Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy" was initially off the mark. Syquia, who was featured with Bessette in the 1988 Girls of B.U. calendar, said she grew more fond of Pidgeon's acting as the miniseries progressed.
Syquia, now 58, shared her perspective on the FX and Hulu miniseries with the *New York Post*. The miniseries, which airs its finale on March 26, explores the relationship between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Syquia said that there is very little video of Bessette aside from a 1998 *Entertainment Tonight* interview. She noted that it's virtually impossible to recreate the magnetism Bessette radiated. Syquia explained that Bessette had an aura that made it impossible to take your eyes off her. Syquia admitted that she didn't think she had ever said that about another woman.
