The Da Nang International Marathon 2026 took place on March 22, marking the 13th year of Vietnam's largest marathon by global participation. According to Tao Viet Hai, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the race has become one of Asia's premier races. Hai noted the marathon promotes fitness and showcases Da Nang's tourism potential. International athletes from Japan and Germany competed with Vietnamese athletes. The full and half marathon races commenced at 3 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., respectively, followed by the 5km fun run at 6 a.m.
