Goa Industrial Estates to Undergo Fire Safety Audit; Eid Celebrated in Ranchi

The Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) will appoint an independent agency to conduct a comprehensive fire safety audit and risk assessment across its 4,450 acres of industrial estates. This decision follows concerns regarding gaps in fire safety preparedness. The audit aims to align industrial estates with the National Building Code 2016 and national best practices for industrial safety. Separately, in Ranchi, Muslims celebrated Eid on Saturday after a month of Ramzan, with special prayers at mosques and Idgahs. Edar-e-sharia Moulana Qutubuddin Rizvi noted that prayers were held at over 60 locations in Ranchi. Religious leaders emphasized peace and following Ramzan's lifestyle principles.
