Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation Presents ₹3,186 Crore Budget with Focus on Infrastructure
The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) presented a ₹3,186 crore budget for 2026-27, prioritizing infrastructure expansion and civic amenities. Municipal Commissioner Abhinav Goel tabled the budget during a general body meeting, maintaining current tax rates while aiming for stronger revenue mobilization.
The KDMC's budget places significant emphasis on enhancing road and bridge infrastructure throughout Kalyan-Dombivli. Proposed projects include U-type roads in Kalyan East, improvements along Malang Road and from Chetna School to Nevali Naka, as well as developments in Manda-Titwala and Thangewadi areas. To alleviate traffic, a railway overbridge is planned for Mohone, along with an additional two-lane flyover near Kopar to ease congestion between Dombivli East and West. Modernization of civic infrastructure is also underway, including the redevelopment of Savitribai Phule Kalamandir.
