Khandwa-Aalirajpur Rail Line Survey Complete, Boosting Madhya Pradesh Connectivity
A survey for the Khandwa-Aalirajpur rail line is complete, marking progress for rail connectivity in the Nimar region. The Detailed Project Report is underway, with expectations of boosting trade, tourism, and employment.
A survey using drone technology is now complete for the proposed Khandwa-Aalirajpur rail line. The survey, which took approximately 18 months, mapped the route between Aalirajpur and Khandwa. The railway is planned to pass through Aalirajpur, Nanpur, Kukshi, Singhana, Barwani, Anjad, Julwaniya, Khargone, Bhikangaon, Barud, Panjhariya, Jamli, and Badgaon before connecting to the main network at Badgaon Gurjar Railway Station. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) is in progress that will include plans for railway stations, bridges, track laying, electrification, total project cost, and projected revenue. Public officials are seeking early financial approval from the Ministry of Railways. Gyaneshwar Patil, Gajendra Singh Patel, Sumer Singh Solanki, and National Commission for Scheduled Tribes Chairman Antar Singh Arya will be approached regarding the project.
