In April 1993, Arsenal's Paul Morrow scored the winning goal against Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup final. During the post-match celebrations, teammate Tony Adams attempted to lift Morrow onto his shoulders, but Morrow fell awkwardly and broke his arm. Morrow was rushed to hospital, missing the celebrations. Arsenal returned to Wembley in May 1993 for the FA Cup final, again facing Sheffield Wednesday. Morrow climbed the Wembley steps before kick-off to finally receive his League Cup winner's medal.
