Romanian Fashion Show Features Models with Disabilities in Custom-Made Costumes

A fashion show in Bucharest, Romania, featured young models with disabilities wearing unique costumes made by local seamstresses. The event, which took place at the Romexpo Centre, was organized by the Down Plus Association Bucharest.

The Down Plus Association Bucharest organized the fashion show at the Romexpo Centre on Wednesday, according to Georgeta Bucur, president of the organization. Fifty seamstresses each designed and created a costume for a youngster they had not previously met. Cristina Bucur, a seamstress and one of the event organizers, said that she was inspired to create the fashion show because she has a child with a disability. Antonia Voicu, 19, said that being on stage in a green dress and rose crown fulfilled her dream. Voicu's caretaker, Diana Negres, stated that the event was a significant step for the teenager, and everything would be spontaneous.
