Senegal's World Cup Jersey to Feature One Star, Not Two

Senegal's World Cup jersey will feature one star, despite the team having won two Africa Cup titles. The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) stated that manufacturing deadlines prevented adding a second star before the tournament.

The Senegal national team, nicknamed the Teranga Lions, will wear jerseys displaying only one star at the World Cup this summer. The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) issued a statement clarifying that kit manufacturer Puma began producing the jerseys in August. The FSF explained that "manufacturing deadlines and industrial constraints did not allow for the interruption of this ongoing process." Senegal won its second continental title at the Africa Cup in January. The FSF said new jerseys with two stars are in production and are scheduled to be available starting in September.
