Aledo Quarterback Nash McElree Transfers to Mission Viejo High School

Nash McElree, a junior quarterback from Aledo, Texas, has transferred to Mission Viejo High School. McElree passed for 848 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2025 at Aledo, which lost in the state 5A Division 1 semi-finals.

Nash McElree, a 6-foot-1, 212-pound junior quarterback, has enrolled at Mission Viejo. McElree played for three seasons at Aledo, a Texas school that has won a record 12 state titles. In 2025, McElree completed 63 of 98 passes for 848 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns. According to McElree, his family is originally from California but relocated to Texas during the pandemic. McElree mentioned he attended San Juan Hills a few months prior to enrolling at Mission Viejo. Mission Viejo and San Juan Hills will both compete in the Alpha League for the next two seasons.
