Australia's 2026-27 Cricket Schedule Includes England, New Zealand, and Bangladesh Tours
Cricket Australia has released the schedule for the 2026/27 season, which includes tours from New Zealand, England, and Bangladesh. The men's team will play England in eight white-ball matches before a four-Test series against New Zealand, while the women's team will face Bangladesh and New Zealand.
The announcement follows debate over pitch quality after Ashes matches in Perth and Melbourne last summer. After issues arose on Boxing Day, Melbourne Cricket Club chief executive Stuart Fox and curator Matt Page held a press conference. The pitch for the Boxing Day Test the year prior, however, had fostered a compelling contest between India and Australia. Another two-day Test occurred in Perth, though that was more due to Travis Head's dynamism than the pitch quality. Cricket Australia chief executive Todd Greenberg alluded to future discussions with curators after 20 wickets fell on the opening day.
