Belagavi ZP Initiative Focuses on Artisan, Farmer Export Opportunities

Belagavi's Zilla Panchayat (ZP) launched an initiative on March 18, 2026, to help local artisans and farmers improve marketing and explore export opportunities. ZP will collaborate with Exim Bank to provide training, mentoring, and subsidies to district producers.

Rahul Shindhe, CEO of Zilla Panchayat, spoke on Wednesday at the inauguration of the 'Outreach and Capacity Building Initiative to Create Opportunities for Growth and Exports in Belagavi.' Shinde emphasized that producers should focus on innovative marketing and value addition for their goods. According to Shinde, the ZP will collaborate with Exim Bank officials to establish a platform that enables farmers, industries, and artisans to improve the marketing of their products. The collaboration will help them access benefits such as training, mentoring, and subsidies to explore export opportunities. Shinde encouraged small home industries, farmers, potters, weavers and handicraftsmen to leverage the initiative.
