Blue Jays Prospects Lose to Phillies; Pirates Beat Toronto

Austin Cates, Toronto's seventh-round pick in the 2024 draft, pitched three innings, giving up home runs to Aroon Escobar and Felix Reyes. Gage Wood, a 2025 first-round pick for the Phillies, recorded three strikeouts in three innings. Against the Pirates, Paul Skenes pitched four innings with five strikeouts. Oniel Cruz had two hits, including a two-run home run.
