An Iranian women's football player, identified as Seyed Zahra Ahmadizadeh, has reportedly rejected an offer to remain in Australia, according to a statement published by the Tasnim News Agency. The Persian-language post did not specify the details of the offer, when it was made, or its source. Ahmadizadeh stated that she grew up under the shadow of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra, referring to a revered figure in Shi'ite Islam, and had attended mourning ceremonies since childhood. She declared her homeland is like her mother. Ahmadizadeh stated that she is now obliged to be in the street beside the people of her country and will do anything for her flag and her country.
