Karachi and Sindh brace for rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain and thunderstorms for Karachi and several districts of rural Sindh. Stronger than usual winds and possible lightning strikes are also forecast.
A western weather system is currently affecting most of Pakistan, according to the PMD on Sunday. The weather system is expected to bring rain and thunderstorms to Karachi. The PMD also stated that winds stronger than usual may occur during the rainfall. Several districts of rural Sindh, including Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Naushahro Feroze and Dadu, are also likely to experience rain with thunder. The PMD has warned of possible lightning strikes in some areas.
