PM Modi Praises Bihar's Progress and CM Nitish Kumar on Bihar Diwas

Prime Minister Modi sent Bihar Diwas greetings to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, recognizing Kumar's commitment to the welfare of all sections of society. Modi also acknowledged his government's role in accelerating the state's progress under Kumar's leadership.

In a letter to the Chief Minister and the people of Bihar on Bihar Diwas, PM Modi highlighted Bihar's rich history, mentioning the moral and spiritual values of the Buddha and the diplomacy and statecraft of Chandragupt Maurya. He also recalled the Champaran Satyagraha, led by Mahatma Gandhi, and the contributions of Sachhidanand Sinha, Rajendra Prasad, and Jagjivan Ram. Modi noted the role of Jayaprakash Narayan's movement in Bihar against the emergency. He further added that the NDA government recently conferred the Bharat Ratna upon Karpoori Thakur, a move that has been lauded by all.
