Senators Beat Maple Leafs 5-2, Gilbert Injured After Hit

The Ottawa Senators defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2 on Saturday night. Senators defenceman Dennis Gilbert left the game after a collision with Leafs player Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

The Ottawa Senators dominated their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, winning 5-2. The Senators scored the first three goals of the game. The Leafs narrowed the lead to 3-2 early in the third period when Easton Cowan scored. Michael Amadio then scored his 12th goal, assisted by Jordan Spence, to put the Senators up 4-2. During the third period, Dennis Gilbert was injured after being hit into the boards by Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Gilbert was helped off the ice by the Senators' support staff.
