Senators Defeat Maple Leafs 5-2 in Ottawa Home Game

The Ottawa Senators defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2 on Saturday. Senators goalie Anthony Stolarz was sent to hospital for precautionary imaging after warm-ups.

The Ottawa Senators (36-24-9) took an early lead against the Toronto Maple Leafs, scoring the first three goals of the game. Joseph Woll, who faced 36 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to Carolina on Friday night, was in net for the Maple Leafs after Anthony Stolarz was sent to hospital for precautionary imaging. Linus Ullmark made a glove save on Matias Maccelli in the second period, preserving Ottawa's 1-0 lead at the time. The Maple Leafs (29-29-13) narrowed the score to 3-2 in the third when Easton Cowan scored. Michael Amadio scored his 12th goal, assisted by Jordan Spence, restoring Ottawa's two-goal lead.
