Stolarz Hurt in Warmup, Senators Beat Maple Leafs 5-2
Anthony Stolarz, slated to start for Toronto, was injured during warmups and sent to hospital for imaging. The Ottawa Senators defeated the Maple Leafs 5-2 on Saturday.
Anthony Stolarz, the Maple Leafs' scheduled starting goalie, was struck in the throat by a puck during warmups in Ottawa. William Nylander's shot sent Stolarz to a nearby hospital for precautionary imaging. Stolarz was later released and cleared to fly home with his teammates. It is unclear if Stolarz will be available for Tuesday's game in Boston. Joseph Woll, instead, started in goal, making 38 saves in the 5-2 loss to the Senators. Woll has started five of the last six games for the team. The Senators' Warren Foegele scored the game-winning goal, and Jordan Spence had two assists.
