Thakkar, Ghorpade Victorious at National Table Tennis Championships in Indore
Manav Thakkar and Yashaswini Ghorpade secured their first singles titles at the 87th National Table Tennis Championships. The event concluded Saturday in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Manav Thakkar defeated Jeet Chandra 4-1 in the men's singles final. Yashaswini Ghorpade won a seven-game match against Syndrela Das for the women's singles title. Ankur Bhattacharjee and Suhana Saini won the mixed doubles title, defeating Aniket Bose and Sampriti Roy 3-2. Jeet Chandra and Anirban Ghosh partnered to win the men's doubles title, overcoming Ronit Bhanja and Preyesh Raj Suresh 3-2. Sutirtha Mukherjee and Kausani Nath claimed the women's doubles crown, defeating Avisha Karmakar and Nandini Saha 3-1. Divyanshi Bhowmick received the D Vishwa Trophy for reaching the quarter-finals.
