Zimmerman's Late Header Goal Gives Toronto FC Victory Over Columbus

Walker Zimmerman scored a header in the 83rd minute, leading Toronto FC to a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Crew at BMO Field. The win marks the first TFC goals for both Zimmerman and José Cifuentes, and extends Toronto's points streak to three games.

Toronto FC secured a 2-1 win against the Columbus Crew following a 1-1 draw against the New York Red Bulls. Defender Walker Zimmerman said the team felt they "left a lot on the table" last week. Zimmerman added that the team wanted to be more aggressive this game, and felt their performance merited three points. Wessam Abou Ali scored for Columbus in the fourth minute. José Cifuentes tied the game for TFC in the 56th minute. Cifuentes had been questionable before the game due to a knee issue, and was replaced in the 75th minute.
