Blue Eagles Sisters Secure Netball Title, Mponela FC Claims Under-23 Championship

The Blue Eagles Sisters netball team secured the national championship with an undefeated season, concluding with a decisive victory over Tigresses Netball Team. Concurrently, Mponela FC won the National Bank of Malawi Under-23 Championship by defeating Karonga United Reserves in a penalty shootout.

FDH Bank Plc has lauded the success of the country's top netball competition following its conclusion at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences Sports Complex in Blantyre. The Blue Eagles Sisters, a police-affiliated team, completed an unblemished season, winning all 22 of their matches. FDH Bank Plc Managing Director Noel Mkulichi commented on Sunday during the awards ceremony that the competition surpassed expectations, showcasing significant talent. The bank provided K13 million to the champions, K10 million to the runners-up, and K8 million to the third-place team, underscoring its dedication to athletic growth. Meanwhile, Mponela FC triumphed in the National Bank of Malawi Under-23 Championship, prevailing over Karonga United Reserves at Champion Stadium in Mponela. Mponela FC's head coach, Pascal Chirwa, highlighted the significance of this victory for his team's future prospects.
