Breckwoldt Secures Vault Title, UW-La Crosse Gymnastics Finishes Second Nationally

Paige Breckwoldt of UW-La Crosse earned an individual national title on the vault, contributing to the gymnastics team's second-place finish at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship in Cortland, New York. This marks the program's 28th top-two placement in 41 years, despite UW-Oshkosh claiming the overall team championship.

At the recent NCGA Championship held at SUNY Cortland, Paige Breckwoldt of UW-La Crosse achieved a significant individual victory, tying for first place on the vault. Her performance was a highlight for the UW-La Crosse gymnastics team, which ultimately secured a second-place standing in the team competition. Despite recording the highest scores in two events, the team was unable to retain its championship title, finishing behind UW-Oshkosh. This result continues a strong tradition for the UW-La Crosse program, marking its 28th occasion finishing in the top two at the NCGA Championship over 41 years. Beyond her vault success, Breckwoldt also received All-American recognition for her performance on the floor exercise. Six different athletes from UW-La Crosse were awarded NCGA All-America honours for placing in the top eight across various disciplines.
