Delhi's Economy Projected to Reach ₹13.27 Lakh Crore with 9.42% Growth

New Delhi's economy is forecast to achieve a valuation of ₹13,27,055 crore in 2025-26, marking a 9.42 per cent increase from the prior fiscal year. This projection highlights the capital's robust economic expansion, driven primarily by its dominant service industry.

The Planning Department of the Government of NCT of Delhi released the 17th edition of its economic assessment, detailing the capital's financial outlook. This report indicates a significant rise in the region's total economic output for the upcoming fiscal year. The individual wealth metric for residents is also anticipated to grow, reaching ₹5,31,610. This individual wealth figure is approximately two and a half times the national average for the same period, underscoring Delhi's economic strength relative to the rest of the country. The city's financial framework continues to depend heavily on its service sector, which contributed 86.32 per cent to the overall value added. In contrast, the secondary sector made up 12.88 per cent of the value added, while the primary sector's contribution was a modest 0.80 per cent.
