Dieppe Council Considers ATV Access to City Streets for Economic Growth

A Dieppe-based ATV organization, the VTT Dieppe ATV Club, along with Quad NB, recently approached the City of Dieppe regarding the use of certain city roads by all-terrain vehicles. Stephane Savoie, president of the VTT Dieppe ATV Club, stated in an interview that members seek passage on city streets to reach local businesses such as hotels, eateries, supermarkets, and fuel stations. Visitors from other parts of the province and beyond have also expressed interest in touring Dieppe with their ATVs, but current restrictions prevent this. Jacques Ouellette, a development coordinator for Quad NB, presented the proposal to the Dieppe council during a Monday information session, with a group of ATV enthusiasts present. Mr. Ouellette noted that entrepreneurs frequently contact Quad NB, requesting ATV accessibility near their establishments to attract additional clientele. Allowing ATV operators and their families to reach dining and lodging facilities is expected to generate economic advantages for the city.
