Kashmir Residents Donate Valuables to Aid Iran Amidst Ongoing Conflict

Residents across Kashmir recently gathered significant donations, including precious metals and household items, for individuals affected by the conflict in Iran. This collective effort prompted a formal expression of appreciation from Iranian diplomatic representatives in India.

On Sunday, following Eid celebrations, communities throughout Kashmir initiated a collection drive to support those impacted by the West Asia conflict in Iran. Youth in Shia-majority areas of the Valley visited homes to solicit contributions, according to PTI. The initiative saw broad participation from various segments of society, including adults and children, as reported by officials. Women were particularly active, providing gold ornaments, copper cookware, and other household goods. Some families also offered livestock as part of their contributions. A resident of Rainawari, Aijaz Ahmad, stated that the international community should provide assistance to the Iranian population suffering from the conflict. The Iranian diplomatic mission in India acknowledged these efforts, conveying that such acts of kindness would be remembered.
