New AI Personality Awards Launch with $20,000 Prize Fund

A new awards program for AI personalities, supported by OpenArt, Fanvue, and ElevenLabs, has launched to acknowledge the expanding influence of AI-driven virtual characters. The competition, featuring a $20,000 prize pool, aims to highlight the creative efforts involved in developing these digital influencers.

A new awards program, dubbed the "'Oscars' for AI personalities," is set to recognize achievements within the burgeoning AI influencer sector. This initiative is a collaboration between generative AI studio OpenArt and the AI-powered creator platform Fanvue, with additional support from AI voice company ElevenLabs. The organizers have stated their intention to commend the innovation behind AI influencers and acknowledge their increasing commercial and cultural impact. The competition officially began on Monday and will accept submissions for one month, culminating in an awards ceremony scheduled for May. Entrants are required to develop their AI influencer using OpenArt's platform and submit details including social media handles, the character's backstory, creation motivations, and any brand collaborations. Judges will evaluate submissions based on criteria such as quality, social media presence, brand appeal, and the inspiration behind the avatar. The judging panel includes 13-time Emmy-winning comedy writer Gil Rief, the creators of the Spanish AI model Aitana Lopez, and Christopher "Topher" Townsend.
