Taber, Alberta, and Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, were named the final two communities in the Kraft Hockeyville competition on Saturday. The winning community will receive $250,000 for arena upgrades and the chance to host an NHL Pre-Season game.

On Saturday, Kraft announced that Taber, Alberta, and Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, are the two remaining communities in the Kraft Hockeyville competition. This selection offers both communities a moment of recognition following recent challenges. Meghan Brennan, communications manager for the Town of Taber, expressed immense excitement, stating the community feels humbled, honoured, and thrilled by the news. Kelly Fleming, chief marketing officer for Kraft Heinz Canada, noted the significance of reaching this stage in the program's 20th year. The initiative, a collaboration among Kraft Heinz, the National Hockey League, and the National Hockey League Players' Association, aims to support local hockey infrastructure. The top community will secure $250,000 for facility improvements and the opportunity to host an NHL exhibition game. The second-place community will be awarded $100,000 for similar upgrades.
